FDF Alumni, Teddy Coffey and Courtney Lapresi, on So You Think You Can Dance and MasterChef

July 15, 2014

Two of our alumni have made it big on national television. Teddy Coffey, a 2013 Webster grad is competing in the top 20 on So You Think You Can Dance to become "America's favorite dancer." Teddy Coffey came to Fitzsimmons as a young boy to take hip-hop and tap classes. From the very first year he started, there was nothing but chatter about how impressive his dancing was and how much potential he had. As he grew a little older, he decided to pick up  jazz, ballet and whatever else was going to make him a more well-rounded dancer for his promising future.

It's been such a joy to see him following his dream and he now not only has fans here in Rochester, but all over the country! Make sure to cast your vote for Teddy Coffey after Wednesday night's show on FOX, starting at 8:00 p.m.

Courtney Lapresi, a 2007 graduate from Geneva, and 2011 graduate from the University of the Arts, is cooking her way through the hit TV show, MasterChef. Courtney also grew up dancing competitively at Fitzsimmons where she exceled in ballet. You can watch Courtney on Monday nights on FOX at 8:00 p.m.

We are so proud of both alumni as the dedication and discipline they've shown in the dance studio has transferred to their present endeavors.
