The beginning of a new year is always filled with such excitement and anticipation that we all share. The year 2017, personally, will have my youngest child (Vivian) turn 18 in February, graduate high school, and starting her freshman year of College at Nazareth majoring in business and dance. My husband Carter and I can’t wait to see all the new opportunities that come her way. My oldest son, Dillon, will be traveling once again for more volunteer work in Australia. Another new country for him to see and embrace himself in their culture. It will be a new chapter for Carter and me to live a life without our children in our home! Thankfully, I am surrounded by so many wonderful children at the studio that I will definitely continue to keep myself busy.
For the studio, as we start the New Year, you will see a few more new faces as we continue to build a strong faculty that share the same vision and desire to see the growth and development of all our dancers.
All of our new costumes have been ordered with some having already arrived, and we are eager to see all those smiling faces as the kids will begin to try them on in the upcoming weeks. Ordering the costumes so early guarantees us timely delivery, but not all will arrive at the same time. Please remind your dancers that if their costume isn’t in yet they will be here in the next month or so.
As always, continue to check out our website for our newest offerings and feel free to reach out to us with any questions you may have. We have so many different ways to join our FDF family, regardless of your age or ability, there is something “new” for
everyone to try.
We look forward to announcing our recital theme, which we have a new theme every year. This year we are basing our recital around “scene stealers,” with an example of our ballet showcasing famous villains and a wonderful surprise at the
last scene of the ballet.
I hope that you all have had a joyous holiday season and HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!
