Dance Program
By invitation only, our competition students focus on building excellent dance technique and performing skills through a well-rounded dance education. At Fitzsimmons, we teach responsibility, self-discipline, dependability and teamwork, while building strong self-esteem. Being a part of this organization requires a commitment of dedication including discipline from both dancers and parents. There are three divisions in our competitive program with accomplishment determining participation and commitment levels. Competitions are regional in the Western New York area.
Touring Groups
For the enthusiastic dancer, Fitzsimmons Dance Factory offers a competitive touring group that requires Saturday classes (in addition to their weekday classes/dances) with dances in lyrical/contemporary, hip hop, tap, and musical theater. These dances are performed at two extra competitions and bi-yearly summer nationals. There is a strict attendance policy for touring groups which requires a signed contract from older-aged participants.
Master Dance Classes
Master teachers and choreographers known nationally and internationally are invited to Fitzsimmons to teach to those in competition levels. Workshops are offered once in the summer and another in the fall. Some teachers offer to select classes or students through auditions to perform in their choreographies.
